The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka, has called on Nigerian youths to channel their energy, creativity, and digital skills towards building a progressive and prosperous nation.
In a statement marking International Youth Day 2025, conveyed through his Special Adviser on Development Partners and ICT, Hon. Mina Horsfall, Zakka emphasized the critical role of young people in strengthening democracy and safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all citizens.
Quoting this year’s theme, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” he urged Nigerian youths to embrace technology, innovation, and civic engagement as tools for transformative change in their communities and the nation at large.
“As we celebrate International Youth Day 2025, we join the world in recognizing the potential and creativity of Nigerian youths,” Zakka said. “You are the leaders of today and tomorrow. Harness your energy, creativity, and passion to drive positive change for greatness in your communities and the country at large.”
He pledged that his administration would continue to create youth empowerment programmes, expand access to opportunities, and ensure that the voices of young people are amplified in governance.
Zakka further called on national leaders to work collectively in building a brighter future for all Nigerians, stressing that the empowerment of young people is key to unlocking the country’s full potential.
