Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Daylight Reporters respects your privacy. This page explains how to request deletion of personal information held by Daylight Reporters through daylightreporters.com and its connected social-media publishing application.

Request deletion

Email admin@daylightreporters.com with the subject:

Data Deletion Request — Daylight Reporters

Please include:

  • Your name and the email address associated with your interaction with us.

  • The information or account you want deleted.

  • Where relevant, your Facebook Page URL, Instagram username or other connected social account identifier.

  • Any relevant article URL or correspondence that will help us locate the information.

Do not send passwords, access tokens, app secrets or identity documents with your initial request.

We may ask for limited additional information to verify your identity or authority over the relevant account. This helps prevent unauthorized deletion.

Facebook, Instagram and other social connections

Our social publishing application allows authorized website administrators to connect accounts and publish Daylight Reporters content.

If you authorized a connection, you may request deletion of the associated account identifiers, stored authorization credentials and other personal information held by our application.

An authorized website administrator can disconnect an account through Dashboard → Social autoposting → Disconnect. This removes the saved connection credentials from the website. It does not automatically erase publishing history or posts already published on a social platform.

You can also revoke the application’s access through the connected platform’s account settings. To request deletion of information we have already stored, email us using the instructions above.

How we handle requests

We will acknowledge your request, verify it where necessary, and assess the information concerned. We will delete or anonymize information where required and explain any information that must be retained.

Requests will be handled without undue delay and within applicable legal time limits. We will notify you when your request is completed or explain any lawful limitation or extension.

Limited records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Any retained information will be restricted to the relevant purpose.

Where information remains in backups pending their scheduled replacement, it will not be used for ordinary business purposes. If a backup is restored, applicable deletion requests must be reapplied.

Published news and third-party platforms

A request involving a published news article will be assessed separately, taking account of privacy rights, accuracy, freedom of expression, public interest and applicable law. Deletion is not automatic solely because a person is named in a report.

Deleting information from our systems does not delete your Facebook, Instagram or X account, third-party copies, or content held independently by those platforms. Requests concerning their records should also be directed to the relevant platform.

Questions or complaints
