Ngutswen Appoints Veteran Journalist, Umoren As SSA On Media, Publicity For Team Akpabio For Tinubu

The National Coordinator of Team Akpabio for Tinubu (TAT), Hon. Felix Ngutswen, has appointed veteran journalist, Mr. Idorenyin Umoren, as Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The appointment, conveyed in a letter dated September 14, 2025, entrusts Mr. Umoren with the responsibility of handling press releases for the National Coordinator and supervising the publication of TAT News.
A seasoned journalist from Akwa Ibom State, Umoren boasts extensive experience in political communication and media management. He is a member of both the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN).
Armed with a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja, and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Umoren’s career cuts across several editorial and managerial roles, including production editor, deputy production manager, and head of news at The Pioneer, Akwa Ibom’s state-owned newspaper.
In 2013, he represented Akwa Ibom State at Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, where he covered the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference and other international events.
Beyond newsroom leadership, Umoren is the publisher of The SituationReport magazine and The NewsDesk online newspaper. A Justice of Peace (JP), he is married to Mandu, and they are blessed with three children.
