Bauchi Rep. Donates Utility Vehicle To NOUN Study Center
…To Pay Tuition For 200 Constituents

The.member representing Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency of Bauchi State has donated a Utility Vehicle to the National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN), Soro study centre located in his constituency.
He donated the vehicle to the school on Friday through the centre’s acting director, Mrs Hauwa Dede and performed by the LG council chairman of Darazo LGA, Hon Samaila Yau Sade.
According to the lawmaker, the vehicle was donated to the school to ease the mobility challenges of the centre.
It could be recalled that, the establishment of the NOUN Study centre was facilitated by the lawmaker and was commissioned some weeks back.
The Study Centre was the first of its kind in the Bauchi central zone and the largest of all NOUN centres in the northern region.
Hon. Soro has also directed the constitution of a Four (4) man committee to be chaired by Comrade Abdulrahman Ibrahim Darazo to identify 200 candidates from the 22 wards of Darazo-Ganjuwa federal constituency interested in furthering their postgraduate education (degree and masters) in the Soro study centre, for the settlement of their tuition fees.
The committee has Sulaiman Mato (Ganjuwa east); Hon. Yunusa Papa (Sade district) and Kinshatu Miya as members.
According to the lawmaker, the committee shall prioritize financially-constrained candidates interested in studying science, technology, engineering, mathematics and agriculture (STEMA) courses for our kind support.
The lawmaker stated, “We shall remain steadfast in our resolve to continue to support the educational sector at all levels in Darazo-Ganjuwa federal constituency”.
