Velocity Foundation Settles Surgery Bills, Distributes Food To Patients In Gombe

By Juliet Vincent

The Velocity Humanitarian Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service by coming to the aid of vulnerable individuals and communities in Gombe State.

The Foundation recently took responsibility for the medical treatment of one Shuaibu Ali, a young man from Jauro Kuna community in Gombe LGA, who suffered a severe leg fracture while struggling to earn a living.

After months of inadequate treatment at home, Shuaibu’s condition deteriorated, making urgent surgery the only option to save his leg.

Following a verified report from a concerned community member, the Foundation swiftly dispatched representatives to intervene and cover the cost of Shuaibu’s surgery.

According to the Foundation, the operation has been successfully carried out, and the man is currently receiving special post-surgery care in the hospital.

In a similar development, the Foundation extended its benevolence to other patients and the less privileged by distributing food items at Hajiya Dudun Bega Hospital Primary Healthcare Center, popularly known as Bolari Hospital in Gombe metropolis. The gesture, aimed at alleviating the suffering of patients and their families, reflects the Foundation’s broader mission of easing the burden of healthcare and spreading compassion to people in need.

Speaking on these interventions, the management of Velocity Humanitarian Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the underprivileged and uplifting communities through acts of kindness. The organization emphasized that it will continue to be a pillar of hope for the needy, driven by the values of empathy, sacrifice, and service to humanity.

The Foundation also prayed for the quick recovery of Shuaibu Ali and for the healing of all other patients in hospitals and homes.

Recall that the Foundation had recently sponsored the surgery of a young girl who was about to lose her leg as a result of her parent’s inability to settle the hospital bills. The foundation also offered scholarship to the young girl up to university level.
