The executive chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Dr Kassim Mohammed Kassim, has expressed concern over the unabated open defecation in Central Primary School,Akwanga and promised to construct toilets to check the unwholesome practice in the school.
Kassim who also assured that he would extend the gesture to other schools, said he would revive the dilapidated borehole in the school and build standard toilets to prevent open defecation.
The NSUBEB chairman who vowed to arrest the ugly situation was received by the Head Of school Mrs Salau Rose and immediately proceeded with the tour and assessment of facilities of some schools in Akwanga.
Dr Kassim expressed utter shocked and disappointment over disappearance of chairs and desks provided for the comfort of pupils at Central Primary School Akwanga, which were allegedly carted away by thieves.
