IGP Appoints CSP Hundeyin As New Force PRO

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).

CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator, takes over from DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Hundeyin holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.

He also earned a Certificate in Civil Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji.

He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

In his career, CSP Hundeyin has served as PRO at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Lagos, worked as Administration Officer at the Force PRO Department in Abuja, and was part of the Nigerian contingent to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020. Until his new appointment, he was the Lagos State Police PRO.

The IGP urged him to use his communication and security expertise to strengthen the Force’s relationship with the public.
