Gombe Governor Inuwa Condoles With Senator Goje, Dr Yusuf over Loss Of Family Member

By Muhammad Faruk Bayu, Gombe

Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has paid condolence visits to two prominent families in the state following the deaths of their loved ones.

The governor, on Friday, led a high-powered delegation of government officials to the residence of former governor, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, in Pantami, Gombe, to commiserate with him over the death of his daughter, Hajiya Jummai Danjuma Goje, who passed away recently in Abuja after a brief illness.

Governor Inuwa was accompanied by the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Lugerewo, members of the State Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other senior officials.

During the visit, the governor described the passing of Hajiya Jummai as a painful loss, not only to the Goje family but to everyone who knew her.

He prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, and grant her Aljannat Firdaus.

Special prayers were also offered for the repose of her soul.

In a related condolence visit, Governor Inuwa Yahaya also sympathised with Dr. Mahmood Yusuf, Director General of the Joint Project Development Agency, over the death of his wife, Zainab, who died after a brief illness.

Speaking at the residence of Dr Yusuf, the governor noted that losing a spouse is one of the most traumatic experiences in life.

He encouraged the family to remain steadfast in faith, and prayed for the deceased to be granted eternal rest in Aljannat Firdaus.
