The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawalle has commissioned the DICON-D7G headquarters in Asokoro, Abuja.
The inauguration forms a critical step in fortifying Nigeria’s defense capabilities.
Matawalle pointed out that the strategic partnership between the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and D7G Nigeria Limited represents a significant force multiplier in the pursuit of military self-sufficiency, modernization, and the protection of our nation’s sovereignty.
He said the initiative is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and marks the beginning of a new era for Nigeria’s defense sector.
The Minister stressed the government is committed to ensuring that its military is fully equipped, modernized, and prepared to address both internal and external security challenges.
Matawalle said the future of Nigeria’s defense lies in self-reliance, innovation, and strategic partnerships and together, a stronger, safer, and more resilient nation will be built.
