Kebbi Gov Idris Appoints Haliru Muhammad DG, Directorate of Protocol Affairs

The Kebbi State governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has approved the appointment of Sagiru Haliru Muhammad as the director-general of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs, with effect from September 2, 2026.

A statement signed by Yahaya Sarki,
Special Adviser (SA), Media and Publicity
to the Kebbi State Governor, the appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the appointment was based strictly on merit, an exemplary track record, and dedicated service to the state.

Governor Idris expressed confidence that the new Director-General would bring his wealth of experience, professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to bear in the effective administration of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs.

The governor urged Sagiru Haliru Muhammad to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, a high sense of responsibility, and dedication, in line with the administration’s commitment to advancing the administrative goals and development of Kebbi State.
