2027: No Vacancy In Sokoto Government House – Youth Group Warns ADC, PDP

The Sokoto Youth Emancipation Front (SYEF) has advised the so-called and already fragmented coalition, as well as other opposition parties, to stop wasting their time chasing shadows, as there will be no vacancy in the Sokoto Government House come 2027.

The group’s statement comes on the heels of a recent gathering held by the coalition’s adopted African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto, where a faction of the coalition made a series of bold declarations aimed at unseating the APC-led government in the next election cycle.

In a press release signed by Comrade Musa Usman, the group’s spokesperson, he stated that in Sokoto, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has worked tirelessly and delivered unprecedented democratic dividends across the state, arguing that the Governor’s performance justifies a second term.

Comrade Musa highlighted some of the key achievements of the Ahmed Aliyu administration, which include; the swift resolution of the water crisis in the state of Sokoto and the rest of the state, the construction of critical infrastructure, prompt payment of salaries and retirement benefits—all achieved without resorting to borrowing.

He insists that these were areas where the former governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal—a central figure in the faction of the so-called coalition failed woefully. According to him, even politically, the sheer influence of Senator Wamakko Magatakarda Aliyu outweighs the deceptive alliance being orchestrated by the opposition.

The group contends that the people of Sokoto have compared and contrasted between this administration and that of Tambuwal and the difference is as clear as night and day so, it would amount to a waste of time to attempt to oust governor Aliyu.

“In truth,” he said, “the people of Sokoto have now experienced genuine governance up close. They won’t allow themselves to be misled by a coalition of self-serving individuals trying to rebrand personal ambition as public interest.”
