The Immediate past governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has called on Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and his successor, Governor Muhammad Abubakar Badaru.
The former governor gave this charge while speaking with newsmen on Thursday.
He said that irrespective of party affiliations, the success of the All Progressives Congress-led government is the success of all Nigerians.
According to him, “I want to reiterate my earlier call that Nigerians should pray for the success of the APC government at the national level and Jigawa State. I am not of the belief that if my party loses election, then the winner should fail. It is wrong to think like that.
Government is an institution, whose policies affect the lives of the people. If government fails, it means the people will suffer and I don’t think any right thinking person would want his people to suffer just because his party is not in power.
