The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Akwa Ibom State Police Command, ASP Timfon John has unveiled her agenda for the agency ‘s information apparatus and promised to be transparent and committed to the public in line with the universal standard of policing.
ASP John, who assumed office on Wednesday this week, following her new appointment by the Inspector – General of Police and redeployment to the State, was the Head of programmes, Nigeria Police Radio 99. 1 FM at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The PPRO assured to be commited, transparent while collaborating and communicating to foster positive relationship with all the stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the law enforcement effort in the state.
According to her, “I bring with me a commitment to transparency, communication, and collaboration.
“My goal is to foster positive relationship with the media, the community, and all stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of our law enforcement efforts”.
While welcoming suggestions and opinions from stakeholders and the public, expressed her desire to be working closely with public to make Akwa Ibom State safer and secured for all its residents.
ASP Timfon John, it would be recalled took over from the former PPRO, CSP Odiko MacDon who has been redeployed to Abuja.
The Image Maker, holds LL. B (Hons) degree in Law from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State and a member of Regular Course 2.
She is the second female police officer in Akwa Ibom to have been appointed as the Command’s Spokes – person after Cordelia Nwawe, since the State was created on September 23, 1987.
