The Governor of Yobe state, His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON has commiserated with the family of Alh Mai Aliyu Muhammad, a former Emir of Damaturu, who died yesterday in Saudi Arabia.

DG, Press, and Media Affairs to the Governor said that the Governor described late Mai Aliyu as an excellent ambassador of the people “who ensures what is due to the people gets to the people.
“He has always shown significant interest in all matters that affects the state and has been a key player in the forum of Yobe federal Commissioners serving at the federal level with the state interest at heart.
Mai Aliyu, until his death, was a commissioner at the National Population Commission.
“He was very committed to ensuring that the interest of Yobe state was fully protected in all the affairs and engagements of the commission,” Governor Buni said.
According to the governor, the late commissioner will be missed for his patriotism to the nation and commitment to the state.
Similarly, the governor has condoled the family of late Yagana Mukhtar a former permanent secretary in the state service.
He prayed to Allah to grant them Aljannatu Firdaus, and to the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
