Zamfara State Coordinator, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has engaged community based institutions on the ways to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
This was disclosed in a statement by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Yusuf Idris Gusau on Wednesday.
He stated that, the engagement held at the Government House, Gusau with leaders of various communities in the state was part of moves to garner more support to the Presidential, governorship and other APC candidates in the elections.
Addressing the community leaders, Marafa said, he support Tinubu because of his honesty, fairness, sincerity and trustworthiness and strong fear of God.
He therefore solicited for their support and continue to mobilise people to support and vote for APC candidates especially at gatherings.
He added that as leaders who live closest to the people at the grassroots up to the state level, they are highly respected and well disciplined among members of their communities and their words are accepted and worked with by their followers including students.
Marafa said, supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shattima’s candidature will bring sustainable development in economy, improve security, social investment and wealth creation among the citizens.
He described Tinubu’s record as governor of Lagos as marvellous, unmatched as he turned around the state in strategic economic pursuits and job opportunities, as foundation he laid which is still working and is speaking volumes of his personality.
The Coordinator assured that, as APC candidates, if voted, they will make Nigeria the of hub of Africa’s economy and urged the people to continue praying for the return of peace in the state and the country at large.
Reaponding, on behalf of all the Community leaders, the Chairman Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad declared their support to the candidature of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bello Matawalle.
He said, they support them sue to their records of upholding the core values of unity and economic development of their various communities.
He promised to play the fatherly role as expected in guiding their subjects to a more appropriate direction to bring sustainable political stability in the state and the country especially on matters of security.
The monarch appealed for tolerance among all the political class in order to have more prosperous state and the country even after the elections.
