A close ally of Isah Yuguda, a former governor of Bauchi state Abdulmuminu Kundak on Tuesday declared formally his ambition to contest for state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming congress.
Kundak, a former political adviser and commissioner of Isah Yuguda made the declaration when he visited the state care taker executives of the party at its secretariat.
In his speech, Kundak explained that he was at the party to formally introduce himself and intimate the caretaker committee of his interest to vie for the number one seat in the party.
He explained that his decision to run for the position is to transform the party and make it formidable so that it would take over government from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
The chairmanship aspirant promised to provide all inclusive leadership and bring more politicians to join APC if elected as next leader of the party.
Responding, the state party chairman Uba Nana represented by his deputy Mohammed A. Hassan appreciated the aspirant for indicating interest in the post.
He said the party caretaker committee would provide level playing ground to all aspirants vying for various offices even as he urged them to eschew campaigns of calumny as they canvass for support from members and stakeholders.
