As part of efforts for safe delivery of pregnant women in Bordo village of Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa state, women in the community have contributed N1000 each among themselves to purchase a car worth N1 million.
Daylight Reporters gathered that the women in their little ways contributed the said amount to ease movement of pregnant women especially at a time of labour.
Information obtained by our reporter also revealed that before the initiative, the women in the community have been experiencing difficulty associated with movement of pregnant women to the nearest clinic which is about 29 kilometers to the village.
Mostly women were being conveyed to the clinic during their labour period on Bicycle, as gathered by Daylight Reporters.
