A 26-year-old woman, Oluwatobilola Emmanuel, on Wednesday appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court over allegations of wilful damage to her ex-boyfriend’s property worth N1.6 million.
Emmanuel, whose address was not provided, pleaded not guilty to a charge of wilful damage.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Courage Ekhueorohan, told the court that Emmanuel committed the offence on March 24, at Lucina Joseph St., off Yusuf Sanusi Surulere, Lagos.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate Mrs M. I. Dan-Oni admitted Emmanuel to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Dan-Oni ordered that the sureties must be gainfully employed and show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
