Group of politicians and likeminds from the Gombe Central Senatorial District of Gombe State, are unavailing the legacies of the former Governor of the state and Senator representing the Central zone in the national assembly, Sen. Muhammed Danjuma Goje.
Speaking with Daylight Reporters on the event slated on Saturday, 26th June, 2021, in Kumo, leader of the group who doubles as the Chairman Organising Committee for the event, Hon. Bello Sulaiman said they are unveiling Sen. Goje’s legacies for other politicians and upcoming generations to emulate the impactful, people-oriented politics of the Senator.
He added that Goje’s achievements in the advancement of human capital developement, infrastructure and economic emancipation of the people of Gombe state speak volumes.
According to him, “What we intend to do is to celebrate the achievements and impacts made by Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje in the development of our zone, Gombe state and Nigeria at large so that our politicians and upcoming generation of leaders will have something to emulate.
“There is no doubt about the fact that our beloved Senator is a model of good and purposeful leadership. He is commited to the service of the people and has touched so many lives.
“Today, projects like; Gombe state University, Gombe International Airport, Gombe Township Stadium, Dadinkowa Water Treatment Plant, major roads both rural and urban among others are signatures of Sen. Goje. Others such as Federal University Kashere, Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa, Gombe Central Mosque, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Centres in Gombe, Kumo and Kaltungo, creation of first class emirates, district, village, and ward heads across the state are all to the credit of Sen. Goje.
“We will continue to celebrate him because he has set great examples for purposeful leadership”. He said.
He further said that history of Gombe state would never be complete without mentioning the remarkable legacies of Sen. Goje.
Goje was former minister of power during Obasanjo’s regime, two time governor of Gombe State and currently serving his third term in the upper chamber of the national assembly.
