In a heartfelt celebration of God’s mercy in his life and career the Taraba State Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Aminu Kotolo, last Sunday held a special thanksgiving service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cathedral’, Mile Six Jalingo.
Speaking to our reporter on Thursday in Jalingo, Kotolo said thanksgiving to God is a necessity and a debt all humans owe God.
Mr Kotolo noted that he decided to give thanks to God for His mercies, love, guidance, protection, care and provision over his life.
“I give thanks to God Almighty for His Love, guidance, protection, care and provision. God has prospered in many spheres of life and that’s why I always give Him thanks.
“God has done so much for me and my family, I have sailed through so many obstacles, I have encountered enormous challenges in life, I have made progress in many spheres of life and health wise, I am alright.
“All to the glory of God Almighty. And so, I need to give God thanks and that is why I and my family decided to thank him in a special way.” He said
He also disclosed that the thanksgiving was also to appreciate God for elevating him to the position of Permanent Secretary, the highest position and cadre meant for every Civil Servant.
He said he encountered challenges in the cause of discharging his duties at various levels but he appreciates God for giving him the grace to overcome and rose to the highest peak of his career.
“There must be challenges actually but when you have faith in God coupled with being patient, those challenges faced as you carry out your lawful duties as a civil servant are surmountable”.
He then called on Secretaries, Directors, staff of various Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Boards and Parastatals, political office holders working under Governor Agbu Kefas to cooperate with his programmes and policies to help him succeed.
“The Governor has the vision to develop the State and all of us must queue into his agenda to help actualize his mandate”. Mr Kotolo concluded.
