WHO, State Primary Healthcare Board Urge Parents to Accept Polio Immunization

Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Board (SPHCB) in collaboration with the World Health organization (WHO) commences another round of Polio Immunization across the State.
At the commencement of the exercise, the Chairman Igabi Local Government Area Honorable Sani Abdul called on parents to ensure all children from age zero to 5 years received the polio vaccination.
He said immunization is an effective way to prevent the polio virus from surviving and spreading from one person to another.
The chairman promised to promote health programs that are implemented under his jurisdiction.
Also speaking to members of the Journalist Initiative on Immunization Against Polio, Mallamawan Zazzau and the traditional focal person for Igabi Local Government Area, Alhaji Danjuma Mustapha Adamu said no effort should be spared to ensure that children received the vaccination because that is an effective way to prevent them from the disease.
He appreciated the State Primary Health Care Board and World Health Organization for the continues exercise noted that the traditional institution accept polio vaccination and will not relent in that direction.
A youth leader, Comrade Musa Abba commanded JAP for the local Theater/Road show which was staged in the area as a form of entertainment for both children and adult alike during the polio immunization exercise.
