Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has warned Ibrahim Aminu, the newly inaugurated Mandate Secretary of the Social Development Secretariat (SDS) to avoid divisive actions in the discharge of his duties, remembering that Abuja is the Federal Capital and not Katsina, where he is from.
Wike stated that FCT appointees must always serve everyone, regardless of ethnic or religious background, because Nigeria belongs to all.
According to the Minister, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is resolved to restore hope to Nigerians by adopting people-oriented policies.
Appointees in the FCT, he said must seek to support the President’s “renewed hope agenda” while also being prepared to account for their stewardship.
According to Wike: “Nigerians have lost hope, hence the need for the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.
” You must not serve only people from Katsina, but all Nigerians.
” Bear in mind that at the end you will be held accountable. Nigerians are tired of getting excuses all the time”, he added.
