The Taraba State Government has commenced the construction of schools using innovative building technology, starting with Jauro Yinu primary school in Jalingo the state capital.Governor Agbu Kefas, said on Wednesday during the inauguration of the project that the rapid school replication project will utilize innovative building technology to create more durable learning structures.
He said 100 selected youths would be train on how to handle the new technology, provided by South African firm Hydraform.”Today, we are here to flag off the training of our dynamic young people on the use of the newly acquired 54 Hydroform block-making machines.
“These machines, imported directly from the highly reputable Hydroform International of South Africa, are state of the art and designed to revolutionize the way we build.
“With these machines, we will construct new school buildings across all 16 Local Government areas of our great state, schools that will not only serve the current generation but will also stand strong for many generations to come.
“These new schools will be modern, well equipped, and provide the kind of conducive learning environment our valued children deserve.”We are not just building structures, we are laying the foundation for the future of Taraba where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish. thrive in a safe and stimulating environment.
“To our soon to be experts, the youth who are part of this training, I congratulate you. You will receive firsthand knowledge of how to operate these machines and produce the blocks needed to the exact standards required by Hydroform International. The governor stated.
“Provision of free education for primary and secondary schools, backed by necessary infrastructure, Job Creation: Transfer of new building technology skills to youths, leading to job creation and poverty reduction,” Mr Kefas said.
The country representative of Hydraform, Abdulhakeem Huthman, praised Taraba State as a trailblazer in cost-effective building material development.Education Commissioner Augustina Godwin applauded the governor’s initiative, highlighting the importance of scaling up manpower in building technology.
With this project, Taraba State aims to provide quality education and infrastructure, ensuring a brighter future for its children.
