Rivers State governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike, made an unexpected entrance into the venue of the ongoing meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday at the party national headquarters in Abuja.
The governor has been at loggerheads with PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.
He entered the National Executive Committee (NEC) hall of the party decked in a white attire with ox-blood cap to match.
Wike is not BoT member. It was, however, learnt that he was invited to the meeting over the leadership tussle rocking the opposition party.
The BoT had called the meeting as part of efforts to manage the crisis ahead of the national elective convention slated for December.
Present at meeting are BoT chairman, Senator Walid Jibrin, immediate past Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, former Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Tom Ikimi, former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Tanimu Turaki, ex-Osun state governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, amongst others.
