Residents of Maje Community in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi state on Tuesday leaped for joy as Speaker Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Sulaiman reached out with a 33 KVA transformer.
For over three years, the community has been in darkness due to their old transformer that was under repairs.
In his remarks, the representative of the speaker and his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Musa Bako Ningi said the provision of the transformer was a dream comes, saying that the speaker had for long, even before he contest election, been struggling to restore electricity in the area.
He added that the speaker will continue to bring more developments especially in the areas of infrastructure, human capital development and education.
Appreciating the gesture, the Village head of Guda District, Alh. Abdu Gambo thanked the speaker for coming to their aid when their hope to see light again was almost lost.
Also speaking, Chairoman Guda Alh. Haruna Abdu expressed their gratitude to the speaker who he described as true and patriotic son of the soil.
He added that the people of the area will remain grateful and prayerful to the speaker for his many interventions in the area.
