Senator Jibrin Hails Tinubu For Upgrading Kano, Zaria FCEs To Universities

Deputy senate president Barau Jibrin has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the conversion of Federal Colleges of Education (FCEs) in Kano and Zaria to Federal Universities of Education.
According to a statement by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity, Senator Barau Jibrin commended President Tinubu for this milestone.
Senator Barau expressed gratitude, stating that the conversion would increase access to university education and enhance teachers’ education and the teaching profession in the country.
He opined that the upgrade is expected to have a profound impact on the North West geopolitical zone, which faces unique challenges.
The deputy senate president acknowledged that this development comes months after the establishment of the North West Development Commission (NWDC) adding that the north west will forever be grateful to Tinubu for these milestones.
Senator Barau congratulated the institutions’ management, staff, students, and communities, urging them to maintain academic excellence.
