The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa has commended the Military for neutralizing a bandit leader, Yellow Jambros, and 50 others in his constituency.
Sani, who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Finance, gave the commendation while reacting in a statement to the killing of Jambros, whose activities had made lives miserable for the people of his constituency.
The lawmaker said, “M people are beginning to heave a sigh of relief after years of massacre, kidnapping and wanton destruction of properties.
“We cried to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Military and they have heeded and responded to the cries of my people. We commended them for the successes so far recorded.
” The heat on the criminals, and we urged the Military and other security agencies operating in the area not to relent until we see end to this ugly development.
“I was reliably informed that the Minna-Sarkin pawa-Kaduna Link Road which was abandoned by commuters for over ten years now as a result of bandits activities in the area is now open and free for motorists. This is a great success and it is highly commendable.
Recall that Jambros and over 50 members of his gang met their end on Wednesday morning when they were trying to escape the onslaught by the men of the Joint Security Taskforce led by the military in communities around Shiroro and Munya local government areas of the state.
