Sen. Akpabio condoles Akwa Ibom APC Chairman; As late Louisa Ubong was laid to rest

President of the 10th Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON has described late Obonganwan Louisa Ime Ubong as an asset to Akwa Ibom State in particular, and Nigeria in general.
Senator Akpabio stated this during a funeral Mass in honour of late Obonganwan Louisa Ubong, mother-in-law to the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obong Stephen Ntukepo on Friday.
Akpabio, a former Governor of the State, noted that the late matriarch was an icon of education, who incorporated the timeless values of Christianity into the teaching profession in moulding the future of our children.
The Senate President, also eulogized the deceased sterling qualities of selflessness and contributions toward community development, which earned her several commendations and laurels during her life time.
He prayed God for the repose of the her soul, and family, the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
Earlier, the Chief Shepherd of Akwa Ibom APC, Obong Stephen Ntukepo in a tribute to his mother – in-law said, her wise counsels and guidance through sound wisdom assisted him to navigate the challenges of life.
While bidding her mother -in-law farewell, Obong Ntukepo stated, “the honour, elaborate celebrations, condolences and mixed emotions were given to her good memories, which would not be forgotten in the lineage”.
The APC Chief Shepherd commended the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio for the immeasurable roles and uncommon support too numerous to mention.
The APC boss, who described the Senate President as a rare breed Nigerian politician and profound benefactor of his posited that, the enormous contributions of President of the Senate to the passage rites of the late matriarch would remain evergreen in his memory and that of entire family members.
The Pontifical Requiem Mass conducted by the Catholic bishop of Uyo Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. John Ayah, was attended by Catholic religious groups in Nigeria, professional organizations, Forum of APC State Chairmen, Nigeria; top Government functionaries; members of the National Assemblies; Government of Taraba State, Akwa Ibom State Government, members of the Order of Knights of Saint John International; Order of the Knights of Saint Mulumba and Committee of Chairmen of Governing Councils of Federal Colleges of Education among others.
