Remains Of Late Safara’u, Mother Of Gov. Radda, Arrive Katsina For Burial

The remains of late Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Radda, mother of Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, arrived at Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina, this afternoon for interment.
Accompanying the remaind from Abuja were Katsina State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe; Hajiya Hauwa Umaru, the eldest daughter of the deceased; and the Governor’s wife, Hajiya Fatima Dikko Radda.
At the airport, a somber atmosphere enveloped the gathering as dignitaries and sympathizers assembled to pay their respects.
Leading the reception were the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, alongside State Legislators, Members of the State Executive Council, and the Head of the State Civil Service, Alhaji Falaliu Bawale.
The remains of the late Hajiya Safara’u were subsequently conveyed to Radda Village in Charanchi Local Government Area, where she will be laid to rest by Islamic rites.
Among those who paid their condolences were Alhaji Muntaka Badaru Jikamshi, Executive Director of Agricultural Services at the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, as well as several elected council chairmen and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The passing of Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Radda is a profound loss not only to her immediate family but also to the wider Katsina community.
