Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, on Friday, received some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) into the fold of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Buni, who received the decampees alongside the Yobe State APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka, stressed that the entrants would be treated as full members of the ruling party without any discrimination.
He urged them to rally round policies and programmes of the present administration in the state.
The defectors said they decided to dump their former parties to APC for the sterling performance of the Buni administration in the state, assuring the governor that they will work so assiduously to see the success of the party at all levels in the forthcoming 2023 General elections.
