The President and Chairman of Council of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN), Alhaji (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga has charged new inductees and awardees to see their new status as a call to always maintain the standards of the profession.
He also charged them to constantly seek ways to improve the pensions industry and to represent the Institute well at all times.
Alhaji Kwairanga gave the charge in an address at the investiture of new inductees and award ceremony in Lagos on Thursday.
According to him, the Institute is the pioneer professional body dedicated to training and development of manpower in the pensions and retirement benefits industry in Nigeria.
He said the Institute has also over the last two decades organised seminars, workshops and courses to train and enhance the skills of pension professionals.
Besides, Alhaji Kwairanga noted that CPIN also periodically recognises the efforts of stakeholders and other professionals who have made meaningful contributions to the pensions industry.
He pointed out that the induction and award ceremony is in furtherance of those objectives of the Institute to reward and recognise practitioners and professionals who have in learning, practice and character demonstrated their ability and readiness to uphold the high standards of the Institute.
