In a strategic move to ensure a peaceful and successful conduct of the upcoming PDP congresses in Gombe State, senator representing Gombe north Ibrahim Dankwambo, the party’s leader and former governor of the state, has successfully reconciled aggrieved members, paving the way for a united and hitch-free exercise.
According to Abdulrahman Buba Zaune, the Acting State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party, Senator Dankwambo’s leadership and diplomatic skills have been instrumental in resolving major internal disputes and placating disgruntled members.
Zaune, who was among those with grievances, confirmed that the senator’s intervention has brought aggrieved members together, fostering a sense of unity and purpose within the party.
“We were among those with issues, but Senator Dankwambo’s leadership style and commitment to the party’s success have brought us together. We have put our differences aside and are now united in the best interest of the party,” Zaune told our correspondent in a phone conversation.
He added that the reconciliation efforts yielded positive results as the party is now fully prepared for the upcoming congresses.
According to Zaune, contestants have purchased and submitted their forms, and the state party secretariat is in the process of forwarding them to the national secretariat for further directives.
“The successful reconciliation and preparations for the congresses have boosted the morale of party members, who are now more united and determined than ever to ensure the success of the PDP in Gombe State. Senator Dankwambo’s leadership and diplomatic efforts have once again demonstrated his commitment to the party’s growth and development.”, he said.
