Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has inaugurated Nigeria’s Smart Africa Alliance Working Group today.
The group was inaugurated in the minister’s office at the Communications and Digital Economy Complex, Abuja on Thursday To coordinate Nigeria’s participation at Smart Africa Alliance, as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Smart Africa is an alliance of 30 African heads of state and government that aims to take advantage of the affordable access to broadband and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in Africa to establish a knowledge economy.
The working group consist of 12 members, drawn from 10 MDAs namely, Federal Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, GBB, NCC, NITDA, NIMC, CBN, NIGCOMSAT, NDPR and NIPOST.
