The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State chapter, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his transparency in the distribution of the COVID-19 palliatives given to the state by the Federal Government.
The state Chairman of NYCN, Malam Idris Ojoko, gave the commendation in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.
Ojoko said that the pro-activeness of the governor had increased public confidence in his administration and enhanced good governance in the state.
He also commended Sule for displaying humanity, accountability and transparency in the governance of the state since assumption of office.
“It is unfortunate that in some parts of the country, the COVID-19 palliatives meant to cushion the effects of the pandemic were being withheld.
“We, however, remain grateful to our accountable and transparent governor for his proactive leadership.
“Sule received, supervised and ensured timely distribution of the palliatives from the Federal Government to the people of the state.
“This action has indeed averted possible crisis in Nasarawa State, as being experienced in some states across the state, which were said not to have distributed the palliatives,” Ojoko said.
He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to the uplift and promotion of the development-oriented programmes of the governor and the activities of the youth in state.
The youth leader appealed to the youth in the state to continue to support the Sule-led administration for it to deliver more dividends of democracy.
