NSCDC Deploys 2,106 Personnel Ahead Of Katsina LG Poll

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,106 personnel to ensure a peaceful and secure electoral process.
The State Commandant of Corps, Aminu Datti Ahmad, made this known while issuing the operational order at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters in Katsina
Addressing the Senior Management Team, Ahmad reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to maintaining law and order, protecting critical national assets, and ensuring public safety.
He explained that the security strategy includes intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement, and collaboration with other security agencies.
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Buhari Hamisu, Ahmed directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Unit Commanders, and Special Forces to coordinate security measures effectively and conduct thorough patrols to prevent any form of electoral violence or disruptions.
“Personnel deployed are to conduct themselves professionally and synergize with other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free election,” Ahmad stated.
To further enhance security, undercover operatives have been strategically positioned in sensitive locations to gather intelligence and counter potential criminal activities.
The Commandant also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest security office.
Ahmad called on the people of Katsina to be law-abiding and support efforts to ensure a peaceful election.
He wished all stakeholders a successful and violence-free electoral process.
