The All Progressives Congress (APC) Publicity Secretaries of the Northwest Zone have unanymouosly elected Ahmad Aruwa and Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau as their Chairman and Secretary respectively.
Aruwa and Gusau are the publicity secretaries of the party in Kano and Zamfara states respectively State.
The election followed the inaugural meeting of the Northwest Zonal Forum of the APC publicity secretaried which held at Ni’imah Guest Palace, Kano.
The meeting, which was attended by all the Publicity Secretaries of the zone, unanimously nominated Ahmad Aruwa and Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau to serve in those capacities respectively with immediate effect.
The forum was formed with a view to integrating and synergizing the operations of the various state chapters of the party.
The Forum acknowledged that the Northwest Zone has the largest population of APC Supporters, which they resolved to maintain for the victory of the party in coming elections.
The Forum appointed Zamfara State Governor, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle as its Chairman Board of Trustee with Kano State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as BOT Vice Chairman, while Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, Dr.Dikko Radda, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto and Dr. Nasiru Yusuf NUT as members of BOT of the Forum
The inaugural meeting was attended by Publicity Secretaries of Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina and Kebbi States while that of Sokoto sent his apologies.
