North-Eastern University Appoints Gombe Emir As Chancellor
The governing council of a popular private university based in Gombe State known as “North-Eastern University Gombe” has appointed the emir of Gombe as Vice Chancellor.
The emir is the chairman Gombe State council of traditional rulers.
DAYLIGHT REPORTERS gathered that the university governing council led by the Pro-chancellor Dr Sani Jauro presented the letter of appointment to the monarch on Thursday.
Recall that the emir was invited to unveil the university during its renaming from Pen Resource University Gombe to North-Eastern University Gombe.
Jauro, explained that the renaming was because the university had come of age and gets more popular across the country.
He said the university will popularise the northeast geo-political region and give it glory as the university gives Nigerians and foreign candidates opportunity to obtain different degrees from a private university of northeastern extraction.
