NOA Tasked On Partnering CSOs To Enhance Citizens’ Education
By Najib Sani, Gombe
The Association of NGOs (ANGO) Gombe State, an umbrella of all Civil Society Organisations, (CSOs) in the state has called for more intentional and sustainable partnerships with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to enhance citizens’ education and awareness on critical government policies.
ANGO made the call on Tuesday during an advocacy visit by its newly elected officials to the agency office in the state.
Chairman of the association, Bachama Yusuf who led the officials during the visit commended NOA’s efforts in promoting patriotism and national unity but emphasised the need for a more robust collaboration to address information deficits and misconceptions about government policies.
He recommended the co-creation of initiatives targeting grassroots communities and improved information sharing between NOA and civil society organisations.
The association also proposed a joint ‘citizens media action’ to be unveiled in its Civil Society Agenda 2025-2030.
Yusuf reiterated that working with CSOs will enable NOA to strengthen citizens’ engagement and education mechanisms and promote a more peaceful, productive, and progressive society.
