Nigeria’s Deputy Sen. President Expresses Support For Creation Of Karadu’a State

The Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Barau Jibril, has assured residents of Katsina State of his commitment to the creation of Karadu’a State, once necessary constitutional amendments are made.
Speaking during the flag-off of Ramadan gift distribution and empowerment programmes in the Funtua Senatorial District, Jibril emphasised that only a constitutional amendment could enable the formation of a new state.
He assured the people that he would work with fellow lawmakers to push for the establishment of Karadu’a State through legal means.
He also commended Senator Muntari Dandutse for his humanitarian efforts and announced an additional donation of ₦24 million and 50 motorcycles to support residents.
Earlier, Senator Muntari Dandutse stated that the distribution of empowerment materials and Ramadan relief was a way to appreciate the people for their support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels.
He pledged continued assistance to underprivileged citizens across Katsina State and Nigeria.
The items distributed included: eight trucks of fertilizer, Four trucks of rice, One truck of corn flour,350 motorcycles, 500 sewing machines, 500 grinding machines, Other essential materials.
The beneficiaries included vulnerable individuals, women, religious leaders, and youth residing in the zone.
Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, who represented Governor Umaru Radda, appreciated Senator Dandutse’s intervention, noting that it aligns with Katsina State Government’s policies.
He highlighted the tremendous achievements of the current administration within its first two years and reaffirmed its commitment to launching people-oriented programmes that would directly improve the lives of citizens.
