Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has expressed optimism that the party’s presidential candidate, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, would win 2023 presidential election.
Fintri stressed that 2023 was a take for PDP and Nigerians would not forgive the party if the party failed to win the 2023 presidential election.
Fintiri stated this Sunday in an interview with Journalists at the Yola International Airport, on his arrival to the state after his reconciliation mission between the Rivers state governor Nyeson Wike and the party.
“I think 2023 is for a take for PDP. Atiku by God’s grace will become the president of this country and Nigerians will not even forgive us if we fail to produce president of this country in 2023.
“Everything under APC government is shattered, everything is in confusion, Nigerians doesn’t seem to understand where they are.
“We wake up every morning at the mercy of God. So as leaders, we will make sure we put everything into this reconciliation to ensure that Atiku and Wike camps are back as one and united party for the success of PDP in 2023,” he said.
He further explained that he is now the chairman of reconciliation committee between Atiku and Wike, adding that his mission to Rivers state was successful.
“They have started talking and they will continue to talk until all the issues are resolve amicably,” he said.
According to him, “politics is about interactions, discussion and understanding.”
He assured that very soon the reconciliation would be over and the party would be focused in their determination to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from leadership failure of APC.
Fintiri further attributed the recent 78 per cent successes recorded by Adamawa state in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to his administration’s massive investments and commitment to the education sector in the last three years which he said have started yielding results.
