A journalist with Radio Nigeria, Jewel FM, Gombe, Gombe State, Zulqarnain Muhammad Inuwa, was attacked by hoodlums in Bauchi metropolis on Wednesday night.
According to him, the incident occurred around Shagari/Anguwan Mahaukata area, in Bauchi metropolis where he was accosted by a gang of about 10 armed men suspected to be ‘Sara-suka’ thugs.
The hoodlums, allegedly armed with cutlasses, sticks, and local guns, confiscated valuable items from the journalist, including; his computer laptop, phone recorder, seven sets of clothes, two caps, cash amounting to approximately N85,000 etc.
The attack has sparked concerns about the safety of people walking around the metropolitan areas.
