Nigeria at 64: National Blood Service Agency DG Hails Voluntary Blood Donors, Urges Patriotic Commitment
As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Day, the Director General of the National Blood Service Agency, Prof Saleh Yuguda, has felicitated with Nigerians, praising the selfless contributions of voluntary blood donors to the nation’s health sector.
In a statement released Tuesday, the DG expressed “deep gratitude to our voluntary blood donors, whose unwavering commitment to saving lives has made a significant impact on our nation’s health.”
He noted that despite challenges posed by myths associated with blood donation, voluntary blood donors continued to support the nation’s blood transfusion needs, demonstrating their resilience and dedication.
The Director General urged Nigerians to remain steadfast, patriotic, and committed to the Nigeria project, as envisioned by President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration.
“As we celebrate our independence, we recognize the importance of collective efforts in building a healthier and more prosperous nation,” he said.
