NGX Group Plc Chairman, Dr. Kwairanga Urges Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers to Play Important Advocacy Role

The Group Chairman of NGX Group Plc, Alhaji (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga said members of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have an important part to play in the advocacy role of the Institute.
He explained that as closest financial advisers to the personalities that determine crucial policies that affect markets and members should make their voices heard in the process.
Dr. Kwairanga made the remarks in a goodwill message at CIS and Northern District end of year party in Abuja.
According to him, advising those at the helm of Affairs has been made easier for the Institute under the current government by the fact that many of those at the center of economic policy formulation in the current government such as the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria are distinguished members of the institute.
“We need to have closer rapport with them and in 2025, I task our district exco with organising appropriate fora such as a breakfast Forum and quarterly business dinner to which we can invite such important decision makers,” he noted.
Dr. Kwairanga pointed out that this year’s party with health and wellness as its central focus is very good as institute has one of the oldest demographics among professional institutes.
As such, he said, it is important that its pay good attention to health and well-being as it do to clients portfolios.
“While playing our role of financial and wealth management for organisations and individuals, we must also manage our health properly because Health is Wealth,” Dr. Kwairanga noted.
On the end of year party, the Chairman of NGX Group Plc, stressed about it is only fitting that after an eventful year, members come together to reflect on the past twelve months, give thanks to Almighty God, and also plan and renew energies for a new year.
He congratulates the Chairman of the District and colleague on the board of NGX, Mr Sehinde Adenagbe, and his executive for organising the get together.
