The inauguration the newly-elected executive council members of the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has knitted the party’s feuding factions into one.
The chapter has suffered a protracted rattling perpetrated by feuding factions sympathetic to different top-notch members of the party in the state.
A newly-elected executive council, with Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani as Chairman, for the state, was among the new states Excos of the party inaugurated in Abuja recently.
Receiving the newly-inaugurated Zamfara APC Exco at the state’s Lodge in Abuja, Governor Muhammad Bello Matawalle of the state said its inauguration was an affirmation of of the oneness of the state’s chapter of the party, bringing the actions of divisive forces to an end.
Matawalle also called on all party supporters at all levels to join hands with the Tukur Danfulani leadership to move the party forward while those yet to revalidate their membership or register to hasten doing so before it was too late.
He said the issue of factional leadership was now over in the state because by the swearing of Tukur Umar Danfulani as authentic Chairman of the party, it is now illegitimate for any group in Zamfara to claim ownership of the party leadership other than Tukur Umar Danfulani.
The governor stressed that anybody who promotes such, would be considered as working for the opposition and would, consequently be treated as opposing stability, tranquility, and unity in the state.
The governor congratulated the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, for his successful inauguration as the substantive and duly-elected chairman of the party in the state.
He further said that the APC as a party in Zamfara State under the new leadership would definitely deliver and record more positive results that would lead to an unprecedented election victory come 2023 and beyond.
Presenting his certificate of return to the governor, Tukur Umar Danfulani said he was at the governor’s residence in order to appreciate Matawalle’s constant support and cooperation to the successes of the State chapter of the party.
He promised to work towards adhering to the party constitution and provide level playing ground for all party members to strengthen the party’s internal democracy.
The other members of the Exco were: the Secretary of the party, Honourable Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Organising Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Ahmad, Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Assistant Publicity Secretary, Junaidu Attahiru Dosara, Assistant Treasurer, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankulodo, Chairman Land Allocation Committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Tanko and Party members among others.
