NASS Gets New Clerk Ogunlana as Tambawal Bows Out in February 2025
The Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana will take over as the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA) as Sani Magaji Tambawal retires in February next year.
This followed the approval of his appointment and the retirement of the outgoing CNA, by the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
This was disclosed by the Director Information, NASC, Emmanuel Anyigor on Thursday who stated that, Ogunlana’s appointment was contained in an appointment letter signed by the Executive Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Engnr Ahmed Kadi Amshi.
It stated, “The National Assembly Service Commission at its 610th meeting held on Wednesday, 6th November, 2024, approved your appointment as Clerk to the National Assembly with effect from 2nd February,2025”.
The letter stated that, Ogunlana was appointed because of his hard work and administrative competence and urged him to work hard and justify the confidence reposed on him.
In a separate letter signed by the NASC Executive Chairman, the Commission commended the outgoing CNA, Sani Magaji Tambawal for his contributions to the National Assembly’s Service.
It reads, “As you proceed on your pre-retirement leave, Mr Kamoru Ogunlana will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Clerk to the National Assembly, while working closely with you to ensure smooth transition until he takes over from you as the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly on 02/02/2025”.
