The Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), Nasarawa State chapter has described the recent appointment of former Commissioner of Justice as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Labaran Magaji as well-deserved.
NLC Chairman in the State, Comrade Ayuba Oko, made the remarks when he led other officials of the Congress on a solidarity visit to the SSG in Lafia.
He said the NLC will continue to support Governor Abdullahi Sule for his drive towards appointing competent hands in his administration including Labaran Magaji as Secretary to the State Government.
According to him, the face-off over minimum wage and pension were all amicably brought to an end with the role played by the SSG whose appointed is not in error.
The NLC advocated digitalization of pensioner’s documents to ease challenges of manual file tracing and implored the government to also address the challenges of security, potable water, healthcare facilities and schools.
Responding Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Magaji thanked the Labour leadership for the accolades showered on him saying such should be extended to Governor Sule who found him worthy for the appointment.
