The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Candidate in Jigawa State, Mustapha Sule Lamido has mourned the death of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Jigawa Central, Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa who died in Abuja on Saturday.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Media and Publicity of the Jigawa State PDP Campaign Directorate on Sunday, Lamido is saddened by the news of Kiyawa’s death and extends his heartfelt condolences to his family, political associates, government and people of Jigawa State.
The statement quoted him thus “We have woken up with the news of the tragic loss of a strong pillar in Jigawa State politics, Hon. Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa who died after a brief illness. We express our heartfelt condolences to his family, his political associates and the people of Jigawa State.”
He prayed that Almighty Allah will grant him Aljannatul-Firdaus and give the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss, the statement concluded.
