The top-notch membership of APC in Gombe State has continued to deplete, with the decampment of Alhaji Saidu Mohammed (a.k.a. Anatare) to PDP, Tuesday, 1st February.
“We politicians practice Politics to serve the people,” Alhaji Mohammed told Daylight Reporters on phone hours after his decampment, explaining, “So, when I decamped to APC from ANPP, I thought I had decamped to a party committed to serving the people according to their wishes and aspirations.”
Anatare continued: “I did not know that I was joining a party that lacked the capacity and ideas on proper and purposeful service delivery to the people that elected it to power.”
He said that while in APC, he was always aggrieved, seeing how the administration mismanaged the resources meant for development projects and poor service delivery.
Anatare said he defected to PDP with about 1000 of his followers.
Saidu Mohammed said he empowered about 10,000 women and youths with livelihood skills and startup capital for various businesses in his Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency when he was contesting for the National Assembly election on the platform of the ANPP in 2019.
“I am confident and certain the PDP will provide me the best platform to more, because it is a party rich in the capacity for quality service delivery to the people,” he said.
