Over 3, 000 less privileged people in Bauchi state have been assisted by a Malaysia based foundation known as ‘YayaSan Budi Ihsan’ during the recent sallah festival.
The foundation in a press release issued to journalists in Bauchi Sunday by its representative Yunusa Muhammad Jeddah said the assistance given by the organization included hundreds of rams and goats.
He said that the beneficiaries were widows and very poor people noting that the gesture was to help them to celebrate sallah with comfort like other well to do muslims.
“The gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the face of the less privileged in the society”. He said.
The statement also qoutes a chairman and district head of some of the local governments that benefitted from the gesture as thanking the donors on behalf of the beneficiaries and the state government.
“In a remarks, the District Head of Toro Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro commended the organization for the gesture saying that it would go a long way in giving succor to the needy in the society.
“The District Head of Toro prayed that Allah reward the individuals who deemed it fit to send their Qurban to the needy in Africa and Nigeria in particular. He also prayed that Allah bring an end to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia, Nigeria and the world at large”. The statement reads in parts.
