Gombe State governotorial candidate of New Nigeria people’s party (NNPP), Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki has received over 1000 women belonging to Widows Association who decamped from PDP to NNPP in Gombe local government.
Receiving the decampees on Saturday at a ceremony held at Abmar Hall in Gombe, the State NNPP chairman, Abdullahi Maikano welcome the women into the party.
He called on them to work for the success of the party at all levels in 2023 general elections.
Speaking, the NNPP governotorial candiate, Khamisu Ahmad Mailantarki said the party has many good policies for the development of women in Gombe State.
He also urged the women to continue supporting the party.
He later donated some money and 110 packs of sanitary pad to the women.
In her remarks, the chairperson of the Association, Rashida Auwalu assured their total support to NNPP for the party to succeed in 2023 general elections.
Later, the leadership of the party moved to kaltungo local government were they recieved decampees from various political parties in the area.
